Current Research Includes Proteins Instructing Skin Cell To Become Hair And Enzymes In Follicles For Hair Growth    




Baldness is caused by a reaction of hair follicles to a hormone called DHA, derived from testosterone. There are treatments based on drug, hair transplant among others. But there is also cutting-edge research. One of them is a protein called KROX20, which instructs skin cells to become hair. Also, immune cells related to controlling inflammation, which may be also responsible for male pattern baldness.
